As a family-run hotel, climate protection is important to us. We want to make our contribution to a future that is also worth living for future generations.
We are committed - and certified
We have been awarded the GreenSign Hotel certificate. GreenSign primarily evaluates the sustainable management of accommodation establishments. You can find out more at www.greensign.de.
We also support environmental and climate protection initiatives.
Pro wildlife
Hamburg wild animals instead of busy bees
With us, you can do without room cleaning and instead make a contribution to (wild) animal protection. We will then donate two euros to the Wildlife Foundation to protect endangered species from extinction.
Clean energy
Short distances for energy supply
We have had a combined heat and power plant since 2019. This means that the energy we need is generated directly on our premises.
Regional
Products from the region
We focus on regional and seasonal food. We have maintained a close and personal relationship with most of our suppliers for years. Some products cannot be sourced regionally, in which case we make sure that they are labeled with the Fairtrade seal.

We want to play our part in a functioning society and are therefore involved in various ecological and social projects:

We are donating a two degree higher water temperature in our swimming pool for the children's swimming courses.
Help Mahl!
Further help for the homeless during the cold season. When you visit a restaurant, you can add one euro to your bill as a donation, which will be transferred to the organization.
VCH Christian Academy
A non-profit organization of the Verband Christlicher Hoteliers e.V. (VCH) for thinking, promoting and training.
Museum harbor
A harbor worth seeing with restored and functioning historic watercraft - we keep the floating monuments in good shape with our donation.
Fairtrade
The Fairtrade seal stands for better prices for small farmers and humane working conditions.
Hamburg Alliance for Families
The aim of the association is to further develop Hamburg into a metropolis that is also attractive for families.

The values of the Christian philosophy of life are at the forefront of everything we do.
We are a member of the Association of Christian Hotels (VCH).
