Our restaurant, the Historische Gasthof, has mastered the culinary transition perfectly and delights the palate with a varied menu that includes regional and seasonally changing dishes such as layered grilled salmon, half a Holstein duck or vegetarian nut roast in a robe. A highlight is the British “Sunday Roast” with Irish pasture-raised beef and Yorkshire pudding, which takes place every Sunday from 12:00 to 15:00 in the Alstertal – definitely a Sunday roast of a special kind.

Directly on the historic Mellingburger Schleuse, surrounded by green nature, our Schleusenbude invites you to linger with a wonderful outdoor terrace. Whether for a short break on a bike tour or a sociable afternoon with friends – Schleusenbude is the perfect place for a relaxing break in the countryside. The food on offer is as unusual as the location and includes Welsh street food such as fish & chips, homemade butter pastry pies and truffle fries, as well as delicious cakes and refreshing drinks.
