By car
Take the A7 highway towards Flensburg until the Schnelsen Nord exit, then turn right onto Ohechaussee, then right again onto Swebenweg and keep to Ring 3 (Krohnstieg, Poppenbütteler Weg, Saseler Damm).
At the intersection at SATURN/AEZ, turn left into Heegbarg, which becomes Saselbergweg. This will take you directly to Mellingburgredder. Sufficient parking spaces are available.

Public transportation
From the main station, take the S-Bahn (S1) to the terminus POPPENBÜTTEL - please note that the train splits at Ohlsdorf (the front section continues to the airport, while the rear section goes to Poppenbüttel). Then take the BUS 276 in the direction of Mellingburgredder to the terminus of the same name. After a short walk of about five minutes, you will reach Mellingburger Schleuse; alternatively, you can also take a cab from Poppenbüttel S-Bahn station.
