Our swimming pool is cult!
A cooperation
with TSV Sasel
The fitness area of our hotel as well as the swimming pool and sauna are operated in cooperation with TSV Sasel. The entire area is open daily between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm. Guests can use all fitness equipment and courses free of charge, subject to availability. Due to the size of the pool, parallel use is not possible during the sports club’s swimming courses.

Temporarily closed due to water replacement
The health of our guests is our top priority. Therefore, a regular exchange of the water in the pool is necessary. During this time, the swimming pool is closed for a few days. As soon as the pool is refilled, you can use it again, even if the water has not yet reached normal temperature.
Regular replacement of the water is mandatory and important. We therefore ask for your understanding and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
Swim through time
It’s not just because of the tiles in the colorful pop design of the 60s and 70s that our swimming pool has become a work of art in its own right and enjoys cult status: photographers are always asking to book our pool with its unusual wall decorations as a location for their productions. It is therefore a special pleasure to swim a few lengths in the six by ten meter pool. Our experts take care of the 29 °C swimming pool, which is in top technical condition.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to swim during the sports club’s swimming courses.
Please ask at reception for the course times.
TSV Sasel courses can generally take place from Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 19:00 and on weekend mornings.
State-of-the-art devices
The fitness area in the basement offers you a large selection of modern strength and cardio equipment that you can use during your stay at Mellingburger Schleuse. Ladies who want to keep to themselves can train in the separate ladies’ area, which offers a more intimate setting for a workout with a view of the green Alster valley.
At reception, we will also be happy to inform you about the current range of courses offered by TSV Sasel, which you can take part in depending on availability. As a rule, the courses take place from Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 19:00 and at weekends in the mornings.

Small but nice
… this applies to our Finnish sauna with relaxation room, which is available to you for a few relaxing hours. Please note that you will need to bring swimwear. The sauna also has a changing area with showers and a small garden area. Bathrobes and extra-large sauna towels are available at the hotel.
