What are the breakfast times?
Breakfast is served at the hotel Mellingburger Schleuse from Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 10:00. At weekends and on public holidays from 7:00 am to 10:30 am.
How much does breakfast cost at the hotel Mellingburger Schleuse?
Breakfast costs 22.50 euros per person. The breakfast price for children 12 years old and younger is 9.00 euros. Children under 6 eat breakfast for free at our hotel.
How long is reception open at the hotel Mellingburger Schleuse?
The reception at Kleinhuis Hotel Mellingburger Schleuse is open between 6:45 am and 11:15 pm. At night, you can call our sister hotel, Baseler Hof, for assistance.
Does the hotel have a charging station for my electric car?
Our hotel has charging stations for electric cars with a type 2 plug. Ask us at reception about the charges.
Can I easily reach the hotel by public transportation?
The nearest train station (S-Bahn Poppenbüttel) is 2.0 km away. The S1 to the main station takes 30 minutes. You can either walk to the station, take the bus or drive and use the P&R parking lot.
Are pets allowed in the hotel?
Dogs are welcome at Hotel Mellingburger Schleuse. We charge 19.50 euros per night. Please register your four-legged companion when you make your booking. You will receive our dog etiquette booklet at check-in.
Is a tourist tax payable for my overnight stay?
The culture and tourism tax is not yet included in our room rates. This has been payable in Hamburg since 2023 for all overnight stays (private or business) and will be charged according to local rates on departure.
Can I purchase a voucher from the hotel Mellingburger Schleuse?
You can purchase vouchers via our Kleinhuis voucher store.
Is there WLAN in the hotel Mellingburger Schleuse?
WLAN is available throughout the house.
Does the Kleinhuis Hotel Mellingburger Schleuse have suitable rooms for allergy sufferers?
We have allergy-friendly rooms without carpeting and can also provide allergy-friendly bedding if required.
Is it possible to bring dogs?
You are welcome to bring your dog with you. We charge 19.50 per pet and night. We would be pleased to receive information in advance so that we can prepare a suitable room for you.
Is there WLAN in the rooms?
WLAN is available in the rooms.
Are there baby cribs?
Baby cribs are available. If you need one, please let us know before your arrival.
Is there an elevator in the hotel?
The rooms on the first and second floors are accessible only by stairs.
Do all rooms have a safe?
Yes, there is a safe in all rooms.
Do all rooms at Hotel Mellingburger Schleuse have a minibar?
A selection of drinks and snacks is available in a small minibar in the lobby by the fireplace. We are happy to set up a minibar in your room to cool your drinks.
Does the hotel Mellingburger Schleuse have rooms with a bathtub?
Our hotel rooms are equipped with showers.
Are there any packages that I can book at the Kleinhuis Hotel Mellingburger Schleuse?
Yes, we have put together (seasonal) packages for you.
Is there air conditioning in the rooms?
The rooms are not equipped with air conditioning. For particularly hot days in northern Germany, we’ll be happy to provide you with a fan in your room.
Are there smoking rooms?
The Kleinhuis Hotel Mellingburger Schleuse only has non-smoking rooms.
I have forgotten something in my room - what is the best way to contact the hotel?
How many meeting rooms are there?
Our hotel has 5 seminar and meeting rooms ranging in size from 35 to 260 square meters and accommodating up to 120 people. All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi and modern technology.
How many people can I host an event at Kleinhuis Hotel Mellingburger Schleuse?
Our largest room offers space for 200 people. Contact us and let us make you an individual offer.
Can I also celebrate my wedding at Mellingburger Schleuse?
You can celebrate your dream wedding in our event spaces. Our Alsterwiese is the perfect setting for outdoor wedding ceremonies right on the banks of the Alster. Contact us for a personalized quote.
When is the restaurant open?
The restaurant is open Monday through Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Can I have lunch at the Kleinhuis Hotel Mellingburger Schleuse?
Our restaurant is open for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays, on weekdays the restaurant opens at 17:30.
Is there a pool at the hotel Mellingburger Schleuse?
There is a swimming pool at the Kleinhuis Hotel Mellingburger Schleuse. This is available to you outside the swimming courses that take place there, daily between 7:00 and 22:00. You can find out the current course times at reception.
When is the sauna open?
The sauna is available to our guests daily from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m.
What are the opening hours of the fitness area?
The fitness area in the basement is run by TSV Sasel and is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 22:00. On Saturdays and Sundays, our guests can work out there between 10:00 and 17:30.
Are there extra towels available if I want to go to the sauna area?
We have sauna towels and bathrobes available for you. Just check in at the front desk to get them.
Is there an extra charge for using the sauna?
Use of the sauna is included for our hotel guests and costs no additional fee.
