Questions and Answers
What happens when it rains?
If you’re planning a non-religious wedding ceremony with a reception at our venue and it happens to rain on your wedding day, our barn offers an alternative to the meadow. We’ll set everything up there for the ceremony, ensuring that you and your guests are protected from the rain during your wedding in the Alster Valley.
Is there parking available for guests?
Yes, the Kleinhuis Hotel Mellingburger Schleuse offers up to 45 parking spaces for your wedding guests. We also have charging stations for electric cars. These are billed separately.
Is there a minimum number of rooms required for the celebration?
If you get married with us and celebrate with dancing at the Alsterräume, we will automatically reserve and charge you for 11 rooms for your guests. Would fewer of your guests like to stay at the Kleinhuis Hotel Mellingburger Schleuse? Unoccupied rooms will be charged at a lower rate. This is because the rooms are located close to the wedding venue and therefore cannot be assigned to outside hotel guests.
How long can we celebrate?
Out of consideration for our hotel guests, you can celebrate your wedding here in the Alster Valley with a DJ and dancing until 2:00 a.m. Of course, you’re welcome to stay and sit together afterward to wind down the evening.
For all evening events held at our Kleinhuis Hotel Mellingburger Schleuse, we charge EUR 250.00 per hour or portion thereof starting at 12:00 a.m.
